Erratum: On March 19, 12:30 AM EDT, we clarified the start of the second line of text from “If you step on a spring” to “If you are on a square with a spring in it”, and the start of the third line of text from “If you step in a hole” to “If you are on a square with a hole in it”.
Your goal is to find the shortest path from GO to FINISH!
If you are on a square with a spring in it, you immediately jump to the next floor above. Don’t worry if there isn’t a hole there, you’ll phase right through the floor. They’re, um, magic springs.
If you are on a square with a hole in it, you immediately fall down to the floor below. Don’t worry about getting hurt. Everything is padded.
Ladders can only go to the next floor if there is a hole in the floor or ceiling by the ladder. If they do go to the next floor, they must be connected to a ladder on that floor. If you don’t want to take a ladder all the way to its end, or you want to just walk past it, that’s fine too. These ladders aren’t magic.
Once you’ve finished your journey, look back on where you’ve been from the right perspective.
